Who and what is Art Neko--Short Answer
Art Neko is comprised of mother and son partners interested in Asian art and other cultures. You can find out more about us in the "Our Story" link. We have collected a lot of material over the years, having been part of a military family living around the world and plan to share much of our accumulated resources with others through the production of rubber stamps and related information posted or linked to on our website. David is our webmaster. I'm slowly learning how to maintain it now myself--but I still have to call him in the middle of the night when I'm stuck on something or freaking out because I just totally messed something up! In 2005 Heather Taylor joined our team as our main graphics designer. In 2006 David got married and started graduate studies in Boston at MIT--so now I am doing my best to maintain and update more of the website myself.
Is Art Neko an Angel Company?
Yes! Once you have purchased one of our stamps you may sell your artwork hand-stamped with the stamp. If you are using a photocopier or scanning and printing copies of artwork you have made that includes any of our stamps we would hope that it is part of a composition and that you are not just reselling images of any of our stamps! If we ever produce stamps of our own that are not included in this policy it will be clearly stated in the item description. Please note that we do sell some stamps from other companies--identified at the end of the stamp description. You would need to check with those companies regarding their policies. And of course whenever feasible we would hope you would credit Art Neko for any Art Neko or Taylored Stamps used in your work. We reserve the right to copy any items using our images that appear in print or on the internet into our samples gallery. If you sell cards or other items using Art Neko or Taylored Stamps images we will be happy to include contact information you provide us with the information shown with your samples displayed in our gallery.
How to find your way around the Art Neko site.
Well, if you got this far you probably don't need too much help. This website has been developed for use with Internet Explorer. If you experience any problems using the features of this website with Internet Explorer or any other browser, please contact us by email so we can answer your questions or fix any problems on the Art Neko website. Following are some basic instructions for those not used to "surfing the net".
If you move your mouse around you will see that there are places on the screen where a pointer, usually a hand with a pointing finger, appears on the screen. The pointer indicates a place where you can click the link with your mouse to be taken to another place on the website. These links usually go to more detailed information. Many of the links are underlined in the text. The words at the top and bottom of the screen (Home, Catalog, etc.) are links that go to other pages on the website. Each item in the list above is a link. If you click on one it will take you to the section on this page that concerns the covered topic. Within some of these paragraphs there are links which will take you to another place with more related information.
Most links take you to other pages or even to other websites. Generally, to return to where you started from you use your mouse to click the "Back" button the top left of your screen. If that doesn't work, you may have been taken to another website which has to be closed for you to return. If your "Back" button is greyed out (which means it won't function from where you are) you will probably have to close the page you are on. To do this, click the red "X" on the top right of the page you are on. For example, if you go from the Catalog link on the top of this page to a specific catalog page you will see small samples called "thumbnails" of stamps in that series. If you click the thumbnail you will be taken to a more detailed image of the stamp, together with information about the stamp, a spot to click to order the item, a box to choose the unmounted image with or without cling mounting foam, and other links related to the image. To return to this page you would have to close the detailed image using the red "x" on the upper right of the screen, use the "Back" button on the top left of the catalog page, use the "Back" button on the top left of the catalog listing page and you will be back to the page you started from.
This has been just a few basics for moving around a website. Please send us any questions you have. If you don't understand something there are probably lots of others who would like the answer as well.

Our Gallery
By clicking the word Gallery at the top of any Art Neko webpage you can find sample projects made using Art Neko and Taylored Stamps images and products. If you have made something using one of our stamps or products, you can send it to us, or email us a scanned image and we may post it on the website. Please identify all products used, including stamps from other companies, so that we can give proper credit where due. Please send brief instructions, although that is not required. Also, let us know if you prefer not to have your name listed. If you send original artwork that you wish returned, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for return. If you sell artwork made using Art Neko or Taylored Stamps images, include a link to your website or other contact information you would like for us to post with your sample in case anyone seeing your work would like to order art from you. Samples in the Gallery have direct links to the images used in the sample. Display pages for items in our catalog will indicate and show a link to the album with samples of that image or samples of images from the same grouping of stamps.

I spend a lot of time surfing the web looking for things that interest me. Since the stamps on this website are also a reflection of things that interest me I figure many of the websites I collect might be of interest to my customers as well. The list of links is quite long, but I'm sure you can find something there you will like. If you know of a link you think would be appropriate for our Links page, send us the address in an email.
Art Neko Newsletter
If you would like to receive a periodic newsletter and notices of sale items or changes/additions to the website, send us an email requesting to be added to our list. If you are on our mailing list and would like to be removed, please send us an email with Remove in the subject area.
Publication Rewards
If you are published in a major publication using any of our Art Neko or Taylored Stamps images with stamp credit to Art Neko, send us documentation and we will send you a credit toward your next purchase from Art Neko. Please note that this does not extend to the stamps we sell from other companies, such as My Heart Stamps for You, Designs Ink'd, etc. Stamps from other companies are identified at the end of the item description. We are in the process of closing out all remaining images from other companies.
Return Policy
Defective Merchandise: We do our best to eliminate any defective merchandise, but it can happen that something slips through. If you receive defective merchandise, notify us via email, phone or snailmail and we will instruct you how to return the merchandise. Generally, defective merchandise will be replaced with another of the same item. When that is not possible we will either issue a credit or refund.
Art Neko reserves the right to discontinue or modify any of the above policies without prior notice. Changes in policy will be noted here and the terms and conditions will be honored for any purchases prior to the posted change.
Art Neko Privacy Policy
Our privacy policy is very simple--we do not share any of your information with anyone outside of Art Neko, period! We do maintain a customer database which we use to verify order information. The only exception is when we post a sample in our gallery submitted by a customer. Unless you specify otherwise your name will be listed. We will forward to you any comments/questions we receive from other customers or website visitors regarding your sample. We belong to a cooperative of rubber stamp manufacturers that occaisionally sends out a group mailing of special offers. When this happens we contact our customers and ask that those who would like to participate notify us--we do not send out any unsolicited mail or share customer information without the explicit permission of the customer.
